Daniel Ross, VP Purchasing

Dan Ross is the Vice President of Purchasing at Contender America Homes, the new homebuilding division of Contender America, where he leads the Purchasing, Estimating, and Design Studio teams across multiple Southeast markets. With extensive experience in homebuilding procurement and operations, Dan specializes in cultivating trusted relationships with Trade Partners, sourcing materials, optimizing costs, and integrating design selections to support efficient production and high-quality home delivery. His leadership ensures seamless coordination between suppliers, estimators, construction, and design teams, driving value engineering and budget adherence from pre-construction through completion.

Dan has a proven record of managing complex supply chains in fast-paced residential markets, maximizing profitability while upholding rigorous standards for product quality and timeline reliability. His expertise spans vendor negotiations, bid processes, accurate takeoffs, and customizable design studio operations that align buyer preferences with builder capabilities.

As VP of Purchasing, he is supported by Contender America’s land and infrastructure divisions, enabling integrated planning for thoughtfully designed communities throughout the Southeast. This structure allows his team to focus on delivering innovative product options and cost-effective solutions within well-planned neighborhoods.

Prior to his current role, Dan served as Director of Purchasing at Beechwood Carolinas, a luxury homebuilder based in Charlotte. He also previously served as Purchasing Manager at Dream Finder Homes Myrtle Beach & Wilmington and as Senior Estimator at two semi-custom homebuilders: True Homes which operates in multiple markets throughout the Carolinas and at Eagle Construction of Virginia. Each role has allowed him to gain hands-on knowledge in purchasing strategies and operational excellence across the Carolinas and beyond. His strategic approach positions Contender America Homes for scalable growth and competitive advantage in the region’s dynamic homebuilding landscape.
